Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls

Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls. Yes, I said BACON. Did you ever think anything was missing in a cinnamon roll before? Probably not, but now that you know that BACON cinnamon rolls exist, do you think you will ever eat a regular cinnamon roll again? Well, possibly, if bacon isn’t an option. However, if you could choose between the two, I’m going to bet my life that you would choose BACON!

Making Your Own Cinnamon Rolls

If you don’t have Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls, you might be able to still make this recipe! Isn’t that great? Sometimes you just can’t find the cinnamon rolls at your grocery store, but that doesn’t have to stop you from eating this amazing breakfast! If you have Pillsbury Crescent Rolls on hand, you are in luck and can easily use those to make the Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls. Here is what you will need to do:

  • Lay out the crescent roll dough and pinch together the seams so that you have 1 piece of dough.
  • Mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the dough, keeping 1/2″ clear on each of the 4 sides.
  • From bottom to top (width-wise), roll the dough up so that you create a long roll.
  • Slice the roll into similar size pieces. It should yield about 12 – 14 individual cinnamon rolls.
  • At this point, you can pick up in the cinnamon roll stage where you unroll each roll and put a piece of bacon on them and re-roll.

Dig In

When your maple bacon cinnamon rolls are finally ready, it will be difficult to eat them. Why? Because everyone is going to grab one right then and there! Normally, I plate meals for my kids before I serve myself. When it comes to these yummy rolls, it’s each man for himself! Ha, I’m kidding. Well, kind of! I will likely give them theirs first, but I will definitely slap someone’s hand if they are going for a 2nd roll and I haven’t had mine yet. When it comes to yummy food, I have no shame. No shame!

My household loves bacon and they also love the sweet taste of bread-y cinnamon rolls. If you are hooked on cinnamon rolls too, you might want to check out my recipe for a delicious cinnamon roll french toast. It’s so good. It cooks like a casserole in the oven and is super easy to make. We love having it for breakfast on holidays like Christmas and Easter. I’ve also made it just because. Because it’s just too good to wait to eat.
