*This recipe can be prepped the night before* Follow recipe through adding pecans, then cover tightly and refrigerate until you bake it. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.
Melt butter and coat 9 x 13 baking dish with the melted butter.
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
Open canned cinnamon rolls and slice each roll into 8 slices.
Place cinnamon roll pieces into egg mixture and coat thoroughly.
Pour the pieces into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
Add remaining egg mixture to the baking dish.
Sprinkle with pecans, if using.
Bake in oven for 22-28 minutes or until light golden brown. Baking time can vary. Keep an eye on it after 22 minutes.
When done, remove from oven.
Microwave icing (that came with cinnamon rolls) for 20 seconds.
Pour icing over cinnamon roll french toast bake, covering well.
Serve warm.
