Easy Crock Pot Ranch Pork Chops

I belong to a few recipe groups on Facebook. I enjoy reading the posts and seeing pictures of other people’s meals, desserts, and drinks. It’s great to get inspiration from other people and get out of my bubble and hum-drum of the same old, same old recipes. Well, someone posted a recipe for crock pot ranch pork chops with potatoes. Since, I had already planned on making pork chops the next day so I was very interested in what it entailed. It turned out that I had all of the ingredients so I could make that recipe the next day. I was excited to try this new recipe!

I never cook with ranch seasoning. It’s not because I don’t enjoy the taste, it’s merely because I tend to choose recipes that consist of garlic, honey, or Mexican-type spices. Ranch usually in my repertoire of recipes, but I had previously bought ranch seasoning to try it out so I was game to try this recipe. (There are a few different ranch seasonings out there, but I prefer Hidden Valley) Plus, it cooks in a crock pot! Easy peasy!

Making The Ranch Pork Chops

As I mentioned, I had all of the ingredients to make these ranch pork chop and the directions seemed easy enough to follow. I chopped some potatoes. Then added the pork and potatoes to the crock pot. Mixed up the ingredients for the sauce and poured it over the pork and potatoes. I was a little skeptical of how it would be. The sauce seemed VERY watery and didn’t seem to have enough flavor, but I trusted it would be good…

About a half hour before serving dinner, I sampled the sauce to make sure it was okay. I was gravely disappointed! It was so blah! I didn’t want to serve that for dinner. It was edible and didn’t taste bad, but it certainly did not taste great. I wanted to serve a GREAT dinner!

Trying to salvage dinner, I nervously, added more ranch seasoning and some dry onion soup and mixed it well. I gave it some more time so that it would meld. After I finished making a salad to serve with the pork and potatoes, I put the sauce into a sauce pan and thickened it with cornstarch. After that, I added a little white wine and whisked it some more. I tasted it and WOW, what a HUGE difference! The dish went from B-O-R-I-N-G to AMAZING! That little hint of white wine really took this ranch sauce to a whole new amazing level! Dinner was saved!

Recipes & Inspiration

Basically, recipes are great to use inspiration. You don’t have to live, breathe, and die by a recipe. Feel free to make changes along the way. When making something and you feel like you won’t like what the recipe calls for, go with your gut! Put your stamp on it and change it to what you think will be best.

As you begin cooking, don’t be afraid to try it out. Of course, if cooking meat in a sauce, be careful not to sample a sauce before the meat is fully cooked through! Be safe about when to sample something and make changes to it, if you feel it needs a little something more. You are the one that has to eat it, right? Might as well cook what YOU like!

Herb Roasted Pork With White Wine Sauce

Herb Roasted Pork w/White Wine Sauce. It sounds like a delectable dish. In fact, it sounds like a dinner that would best be served in a gourmet restaurant. And while it is a delectable dinner that could be served in a high-end restaurant, this pork dish is an easy crock pot dinner that you can make for your family any night of the week!

Easy Crock Pot Dinner

I’ve seen so many crock pot meals that consist of chicken, pork, or beef that entails slow cooking the meat all day with a simple gravy, salsa, or seasoning. These dinners can be really tasty and easy to make, but they can be somewhat boring. Don’t get me wrong, they still taste great, but they can be boring as far as presentation or extraordinary dinners are concerned.

This herb roasted pork with white wine sauce is an extraordinary dinner that is still an easy crock pot meal. Do I have your attention? I hope so because you will love the gourmet taste of this simple dinner recipe and will want to make this a Sunday dinner or any night dinner. Why the heck not, it’s easy to make, you can make this in place of Taco Tuesdays…maybe not every Tuesday though. Tacos are pretty freaking amazing!

Herb Roasted Pork Secret Ingredient

As previously mentioned, this is a very easy to make crock pot meal. There are minimal ingredients needed to make this amazing dinner. And, you probably have them on hand in your pantry! All you need is:

  • Pork
  • Onions
  • Chicken Broth
  • Garlic (chopped, minced, or even garlic powder)
  • Herbs de Provence
  • White Wine (any kind will work)
  • Cornstarch or Flour

I’m expecting you to have everything on hand, but you might not have herbs de provence. This is the secret ingredient to making this herb roasted pork. Seasoned chefs will have this on hand, I’m sure, but the novice cook might not. I only recently discovered this flavorsome seasoning when making my Turkey, Kale, & Brown Rice Soup and now I’m absolutely hooked on it. The flavor is distinct and strong, yet subtle. Herbes de Provence is a mixture of herbs and spices, which generally includes thyme, basil, rosemary, tarragon, savory marjoram, oregano, and bay leaf. All of these delectable seasonings in one seasoning! Amazing!

Cooking The Herb Roasted Pork

Now that you know what goes into making this amazingly tasty dinner, it’s time to go over how to cook it. Again, this is such an easy recipe that it doesn’t take much to prepare. The actual cooking is minimal since you will be relying on the crock pot to do the bulk of the work. Nonetheless, you will need to do some cooking.

First, put the pork in the crock pot. Easy! Next, slice up a medium to large yellow onion and put the slices on top of the roast and around it. Then, you will top the pork roast with garlic and making sure to surround it with the garlic as well. After that, add your chicken broth and wine to the crock pot. Finally, top the roast with the herbs de provence. Set the crock pot to low and cook for 6-8 hours. Within an hour, you will smell a yummy scent filling up your kitchen and will be licking your lips. Unfortunately, you will have to wait another 5-7 hours to dig in to your dinner creation!

Once the pork roast is done, remove the juices and strain them through a wire mesh strainer, into a medium saucepan. Don’t discard those onions! Set them aside so you can serve them on top of your plated pork. Back to the white wine sauce…heat the sauce over medium high heat and bring to a boil. Then turn heat to low and whisk cornstarch into the sauce. Stir constantly until sauce is your desired thickness. If it gets too thick, you can add a little water to thin it or if too thin, continue to add a little cornstarch a little at a time. That’s basically all you do to cook this delicious dinner. Sounds easy? It is. You will be able to master this yummy dish without a problem, I have faith!

Easy Pork Dinner

If you are ready to change up your boring meal plans, add in this tasty herb roasted pork with white wine sauce. It’s an easy recipe and cooks by itself in the crock pot. And, it’s healthy! There are no unnecessary fats, oils, etc. Just a nice pork roast that is seasoned simply, yet deliciously. This is NOT a boring crock pot dinner. So if you are ready to change things up, try this. You won’t regret it!

Honey parmesan crusted pork is an easy crockpot recipe that tastes like a gourmet dinner. This crockpot meal is quick to prepare and tastes delicious. Your entire family will enjoy this meal and you will look like the Rockstar mom (or dad) that you aim to be!

I am always looking for easy dinners that taste great and are super easy. Did I mention that I like to make easy meals? I can’t stress that enough! There are so many great tasting meals that are easy to make, we shouldn’t have to slave away in the kitchen these days.

Honey parmesan crusted pork is one of those easy recipes that takes 5 minutes to prep and cooks itself in the crockpot. Meaning, you can go about your day and when you are ready for dinner, it will be ready to eat. That is a great way to handle dinner, don’t you think? Well, you actually would want to thicken up the sauce a bit to take this meal to the next level. However, even with that extra step, it really only takes 5 more minutes. Amazing!

This meal goes great with almost any sides too. My favorite sides for this recipe are mashed potatoes and either broccoli or cauliflower. The sauce is the perfect addition to go on mashed potatoes. And the sauce really compliments broccoli and cauliflower if you opt to drizzle some of it on your veggies.

I have to say, my favorite thing about the honey parmesan crusted pork recipe is the fact that you don’t have to chop anything up. Crockpot meals are fantastic for cooking meals when you aren’t home, but sometimes the prep work can take just as long as cooking a meal. This recipe requires minimal preparation. Mix up the honey, parmesan, soy sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, and garlic and pour over the pork. That’s all there is to do. This truly is an easy meal that tastes better than what you would get in a restaurant.

You can be the Rockstar parent at least for this dinner!

Crock Pot Mango Pork Loin, An Easy, Delicious Dinner

Crock Pot Mango Pork Loin is for everyone. Every kid loves sweet things. Heck, most adults do too! This crock pot dinner is so easy and so good, nobody will suspect that you threw it together in less than 5 minutes. Set up dinner in the morning and go about your day. Later on (when you are starving), you don’t have to worry about what to make for dinner.

I hate planning dinners. I get bored with our regular, go-to meals. So one day, I reached out to my Facebook friends to see if they can help with meal inspiration. A friend of mine said to cook pork with salsa in the crockpot. It sounded easy enough. I tried it.

Easy Crock Pot Dinner

Since I was looking for easy recipes that tasted good, I made the crock pot mango pork loin. This delicious pork dinner was beyond easy to make. There are 2 steps, that’s it. And all you do is; 1. put pork in the crock pot and 2. put the mango salsa over the pork. That’s it! Later in the day, that sweet smell of mango pork will take over your house and have your mouth watering! Before you know it, dinner will be ready. You will find it to be super easy to make, but so tasty! This easy dinner has become a staple in my house. Believe me, it will also be a staple recipe in your household too. You need to try this pork loin recipe! Try it this week. Heck, try it tonight!

Ingredients Needed

How amazing is this list of ingredients? I mean, you only need two things to make this yummy dinner. Here’s what you will need:

  • 3-4 pounds Pork Loin
  • 1 jar Mango Salsa (we love Newman’s Own)

Instructions

  • Put pork loin in crock pot.
  • Cover with mango salsa.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Serve with rice.

How To Make Mango Pork

I don’t have a lot of free time so I have to be efficient with my time. A time saving tip is to cook white or brown rice about 20min before dinner is ready. An even better time saving tip is to make the rice in the microwave in the morning. Put the microwave on a low setting (like 5 or 6 temp-wise) and cook the rice for 15 min, stir/check, and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes.

Of course, while the rice is cooking, you will be slaving, ahem, I mean prepping the pork loin in the crockpot, cleaning up the breakfast mess, brushing someone’s hair, filling water bottles, and yelling at kids to hurry up because the bus will be here any minute! The actual meal prep takes less time than trying to get that darn cover off the salsa container.

Next thing you know, the rice will be done and dinner will be cooking. You will be done for the next 6-8 hours. Go to work or better yet, go sneak a pedicure in – you deserve it (and your feet need it!). Basically, just go about your day. When you arrive home later, you’ll walk into a sweet smelling mango pork loin aroma. All that will be left to do is to set the table! The best part is that everyone will enjoy this yummy dinner that took you 5 minutes to pull together.
