Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini

Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini. That sounds lovely. Since I was little, I have been obsessed with chocolate covered cherries. For some reason, the only times I would eat these sweet treats was at Christmas time and Valentine’s Day. That certainly was not enough for me to get my “fix” of these delectable chocolates.

This Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini is for everyone who loves eating chocolate covered cherries. It has a decadent and smooth taste. Since you don’t bite into this yummy drink, you don’t get a crisp snap. Rather, this chocolate cocktail provides a stunning burst of cherry flavor with each sip. A must try for anyone who loves a great dessert drink!

Chocolate Covered Cherries

My favorite ones are the Cella’s Chocolate Covered Cherries. They come in milk chocolate and dark chocolate variations. Both are equally delicious!

Cella’s own description of the candies describes them as a premium chocolate with a plump cherry that offers a classic “snap” when biting into it. It is is accompanied by a 100% liquid center (the only brand offering such a feature!), making it a truly unique eating experience.

If you didn’t know what those were before, I’m sure you will seek them out now! I am wishing I had those when I made this yummy martini the other night, that’s for sure! Although, it’s probably better that I didn’t have dessert with my dessert martini.

Anyway, my point of adding in the description of Cella’s chocolate covered cherries is that I wanted this Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini to be a similar style. In my opinion, this martini needs to be decadent and rather than having a snap of chocolate. It really needs that delicious burst of cherry flavor with each sip. I truly think this recipe has hit the level of excellence that I was reaching for.

Ingredients Needed

As always, dessert martinis are much easier to whip up than any actual dessert. The ingredients are minimal. In this case, you just need cherry vodka and chocolate liqueur. And, basically, you just measure, shake, and pour. Of course, garnishing the glass is always a nice touch!

Here is what you will need to make this chocolate martini:

  • 2 oz Cherry Vodka
  • 2 oz Chocolate Liqueur Godiva is best!
  • Chocolate Syrup for garnish
  • 1 Cherry for garnish

Instructions

Don’t feel like you need to garnish the glass, but I find it fun to dress up a plain martini glass with fun swirls of tasty syrups. Additionally, embellishing the rim of a glass transforms any delicious looking cocktail to an exceptionally, delicious looking cocktail!

So don’t hold back. Garnish the glass and get creative with your efforts.

Here is how to make this tasty drink:

Garnishing The Glass

  • Tilt the glass on it’s side at a 90 degree angle.
  • Drizzle the chocolate sauce on the inside of the glass, approx 1/2″ from the top as you turn the glass so that the sauce covers the entire glass.

Making The Martini

  • Fill cocktail shaker approximately halfway with ice.
  • Measure and pour the ingredients into the shaker.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Pour into garnished glass.

Once that chocolate covered cherry martini is ready, find a nice and relaxing spot to sit down, savor every sip, and just ENJOY!

Dessert Drinks

If you have a sweet tooth, having a dessert like drink will appeal to you more than you know. The creamy goodness of dessert in cocktail form will be just as addictive as dessert itself. Hopefully, you will be able to control yourself with dessert drinks. After all, they do contain alcohol. Therefore, you need to limit yourself in some way. Even if you are in the comfort of your own home without having to leave, drinking too many chocolate covered cherry martinis will likely have you feeling crappy the next day! So just drink responsibly and enjoy the delightful taste that this martini has.

Outstanding Peach Cobbler Martini Delights Your Sweet Tooth

Peach Cobbler Martini might sound interesting to you. However, do you know what a drink like this actually consists of? Probably not. I happened to have some peach schnapps on hand and wanted to create a drink that could incorporate it. I wasn’t quite sure what to mix it with. Sure, there are a ton of ideas on pinterest and google, but how do you narrow down your search to find what you are looking for, when you aren’t sure what you are looking for??

I decided I would use the peach schnapps to make a martini. So, that would mean that I would mix vodka and peach schnapps together. Would I mix anything else with it? And would I want to use a flavored vodka or regular, plain old vodka? Decisions! I searched for some peach martinis to see what they consisted of. It’s amazing that a drink that shares it’s name with numerous other drinks such as a peach martini, can have drastic differences in ingredients and, therefore, taste.

Peach Cobbler

One recipe I found was called a peach cobbler martini. Hmm. I thought that sounded like such a cool name for a drink. Who would expect a martini to have a dessert name? Well, I guess I should have anyway. I do have a martini for a Bananas Foster Martini, after all! Although the recipe I found sounded good, it didn’t sound exactly like what I was searching for. Therefore, I decided to use that recipe as inspiration and created my own peach cobbler martini.

Peach Cobbler is a dish consisting juicy peaches and a buttery cake or biscuits that resemble a thick crusted pie crust. Typically, it is served with vanilla ice cream or a splash of cream and then topped with whipped cream. Sounds scrumptious! How would this peach cobbler martini mimic a crusty dessert though?

Martini Ingredients

In order for this yummy martini to simulate the delightful peach cobbler dessert, it would need a few key ingredients. Of course, peach would be needed. The creaminess of the ice cream needed to be taken into consideration and that is where the whipped cream vodka comes in. Yum! And then you need a little crunch for the cobbler part. And that is where the garnish really brings this cocktail to life! The brown sugar and crushed graham cracker rim is the well needed crumble that a peach cobbler martini needs!

The full list of ingredients is:

Martini

  • 2 oz Whipped Cream Vodka
  • 2 oz Peach Schnapps or peach liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Frangelico or hazlenut liqueur

Glass Garnish

  • Caramel Syrup
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Graham Cracker Crushed

How To Make

Garnishing The Glass

  • Crush the graham cracker and put it on a small plate.
  • Add the brown sugar to the plate of crushed graham cracker. Mix together.
  • Take caramel syrup and wet the rim with it, covering the entire rim. I put a little dollop on my finger and smeared it on the top of the rim.
  • Turn the glass upside and dip the rim into the brown sugar/graham cracker mixture. Make sure to cover the entire rim.

Making The Martini

  • Fill a cocktail shaker approximately half way with ice.
  • Measure and pour the ingredients into the cocktail shaker.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Pour into garnished martini glass.

Drink It In

If you are looking for a drink that is sweet and has a light feeling, this is the perfect choice. It has the luscious taste of juicy peaches and cream with a slight kick from the Frangelico which is a hazelnut liqueur. Seems like a random choice for an ingredient, but the little amount that is in this drink really makes this peach cobbler martini taste more savory and gives the illusion of the peach crumble that you taste in the dessert. It might not make sense, but trust me, it is amazing!

The only bad thing I can say about this yummy martini recipe is that it’s too easy to sip. It tastes so light and it goes down freely. Unfortunately, it will be gone before you know it! Of course, you can always make another one to replace that. Nonetheless, you need to keep the sipping at a slow speed. This delicious martini is all alcohol. Drink it in, but drink it responsibly.

Notes

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini. That just sounds like a dream. You know what? It is! On Mother’s Day, I made myself one of these strawberry, chocolate-y martini and it was yummy. However, the next time I mixed one of these up, I had forgotten my original recipe and mixed up another version using vodka, Bailey’s strawberries and cream, and creme de cacao. Consequently, it was even better than the first time! Every time I think of this yummy dessert-like martini, my mouth waters and I immediately want to have one. Although this can be a problem, if I think of this drink in the morning!

My kids are actually envious that I can drink these and they cannot. After all, it is a good looking drink. The garnish on the glass with strawberry and chocolate syrup and the big, fat strawberry on the rim is so appealing. Not to mention, the pink color that this martini has. Since it looks so amazing, who can blame them for wanting one?

Occasionally, I have made them ice cream shakes to make it up to them. It’s almost the same thing; chocolate, strawberries, and the creamy factor. Yum! Unfortunately, now every time I make a delicious martini like this, my kids think that I will be making them an ice cream shake! Therefore, I think I created monsters!

Ingredients Needed

As always, I don’t use a lot of unnecessary ingredients whether I am cooking, baking, or mixing up a cocktail. I only choose to add ingredients that add flavor and try to keep the list to a minimum. You can skip the glass garnish, if you want. However, the drink looks exceptional with the chocolate and strawberry syrup. Not to mention, the juicy strawberry that sits on the side of the martini glass rim. Nonetheless, the drink will taste just as yummy if you skip those things.

Here is what you will need for both the glass garnish and the chocolate covered strawberry martini itself.

Glass Garnish

  • Chocolate Syrup for garnish
  • Strawberry Syrup for garnish

Martini

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1.5 oz Bailey’s Strawberries & Cream
  • 1 oz Creme de Cacao

Strawberries & Cream

If you haven’t heard of tried Bailey’s Strawberries & Cream, it is dreamy. In fact, Bailey’s describes this liqueur as just that:

Just the dreamy flavors of ripe strawberry and vanilla, mingling with gorgeous Baileys Original Irish Cream and other ingredients and flavors. Oh yes! Float away in a strawberry bubble of pure pleasure, we won’t tell anyone. Splash over ice, swirl into desserts and cocktails, or drizzle over ice cream for a delicious grown-up treat. That’s hit the sweet spot.

I don’t think I could describe this delicious refreshment better than that! It is just an amazing flavor to add to anything. If you love strawberries, you will love this liqueur. When I spotted it in Total Wine one day, my mind went crazy trying to think of yummy concoctions that I could create with this! Of course, the first thing I wanted to try was a chocolate covered strawberry martini.

Making Your Drink

Garnishing The Glass

  • Tilt the glass at a 90 degree angle.
  • Drizzle the chocolate sauce on the inside of the glass, approx 1/2″ from the top as you turn the glass so that the sauce covers the entire glass.
  • Take the strawberry syrup and repeat the process for covering the inside of the martini glass.

Making The Martini

  • Fill a cocktail shaker approx half way with ice.
  • Measure and pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Pour into garnished martini glass.

Get yourself a comfy seat and all that is left to do is sip back and ENJOY!

Dessert Martini

Chocolate covered strawberries are typically thought of as a Valentine’s dessert. And, yes, they are a great treat to get (or give) on Valentine’s Day. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t appreciate the sweet goodness of a juicy strawberry surrounded by a crunchy chocolate shell. Mmm, mmm.

However, you don’t have to wait until February 14th to indulge in chocolate covered strawberries. Nor do you have to wait until then to sip on this yummy chocolate covered strawberry martini! This is an easy drink to make that you can enjoy on the weekend, as a dessert, when you have friends over. Or perhaps you can make this cocktail for brunch. The taste is delicious so don’t limit yourself to just once per year!

S’Mores Martini

S’Mores Martini sounds like a great idea for anyone who enjoys the taste of creamy chocolate, sweet marshmallows, and crunchy graham crackers. But how can you combine those things in liquid form? It’s pretty easy actually, there are so many flavored vodkas and chocolate liqueurs that whipping up this yummy martini only takes a minute or two. And then you can take your time and sip on it and relax.

More S’Mores

A s’more is a sweet treat that looks like a sandwich cookie. It consists of a chocolate bar and toasted marshmallows that are held together between graham crackers. Typically a summer time snack that kids love to cook on an open campfire, they grab a long stick, pop a marshmallow at the end, and toast it up over the flame in a fire pit. It is a right of passage for many children and a fun dessert. The bonus is getting to eat their creation!

It shouldn’t be a surprise as to where the name for this dessert came from. After all, this sweet, gooey, and delicious dessert, literally, oozes with flavor. As a result, it leaves kids wanting more, and more, and more! It is likely that the name came from an abbreviation of the the phrase, some more,” shortened to s’mores! Because let’s face it, kids can’t just eat one. They need more, and more, and s’more!

Martini Ingredients

This sweet martini brings you back to your childhood on a warm summer’s night, when the only thing you cared about was how many s’mores you would be allowed to eat.

You won’t need a campfire for this recipe. In fact, you don’t have to cook anything with this delicious martini. Super easy!

Here is what you will need for this s’mores martini:

  • 1.5 oz Vanilla Vodka or Marshmallow Vodka
  • 3 oz Chocolate Liqueur Godiva is always preferred!
  • 3 oz Creme de Cacao
  • Fluff optional for glass garnish
  • Graham Cracker crushed – optional for glass garnish

Garnishing The Glass

Half the battle of making this dessert-like martini is the presentation for it. Meaning, you will want to put in a little effort and garnish the glass to make it pop. To do this, you will put a small amount of marshmallow fluff on a spoon and rub it on the top of the martini glass so that it covers the entire rim. Next, crush 1 graham cracker well (ground pieces to small pieces stick best) on a small plate. Then, dip the fluff covered martini glass into the graham crumb mixture, making sure you cover the entire rim as much as possible with the graham crackers. It looks so good! And it tastes great too which is a huge part of this martini, you want that marshmallow taste and graham cracker crunch for the full effect when you sip on this drink.

Mixing The Martini

Making an actual s’more isn’t difficult at all, just toast a marshmallow and place that with a piece of chocolate in between 2 graham crackers. Easy. Making this s’mores martini is pretty easy as well. Fill a cocktail shaker approximately 1/2 way with ice. Measure and pour all of the ingredients into the cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously. Then, pour your yummy drink into the garnished glass. Pretty easy.

Decadent Bananas Foster Martini Will Delight Your Taste Buds

Bananas Foster Martini is an easy way to get your fix for the extravagant dessert you know and love. Bananas foster is a dessert made from bananas and vanilla ice cream that has a delectable sauce that is made from butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark rum, and banana liqueur. The dessert is somewhat complicated, but very alluring because it involves fire. First, you cook the bananas, butter, and sugar. Then, you add the rum and ignite it! A very interesting sight, for sure. After that, the bananas and sauce are then served over ice cream.

This delicious martini tastes like the actual dessert, however, you don’t have to go to such lengths to create the same flavor. And as far as experience is concerned, a dessert martini is an experience in itself! You won’t need to light it on fire to be amazed at how exquisite it is. The combination of butterscotch schnapps, white chocolate liqueur, banana liqueur, and vodka give this martini a magnificently taste of the dessert classic you love.

Bananas Foster Origin

Bananas Foster dessert has been noted as deriving in 1951 in New Orleans at a restaurant called Brennan’s. At that time, New Orleans was a port of entry for bananas that were imported from South and Central America. In light of this, the owner of Brennan’s found himself with a lot of bananas on hand. Not knowing what to do with them, he challenged his chef to come up with a dessert that would utilize the overabundance of bananas.

The chef created Bananas Foster, which was named after a friend of the chef, Richard Foster. Neither the owner of the restaurant or chef had any idea how wildly successful this flaming dessert would be. Furthermore, it is now considered a classic banana dessert.

Martini Ingredients

I love making martinis. You can really get your creative juices flowing with a simple drink. Think about it, there are limited ingredients that go into a martini and the entire drink is small-scale when it comes to cooking in general. And yet, you can achieve amazing flavor in each drink. It’s pretty cool if you ask me. As a result, I love thinking about a delicious dessert and concocting a drink that can pose as such.

For the bananas foster martini, you will need:

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1.75 oz Banana Liqueur
  • 1.75 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 1 oz White Chocolate Liqueur (Godiva is the preferred)
  • Caramel Sauce to garnish martini glass (optional)

Instructions

How To Garnish The Glass

  • Tilt martini glass to the side. Squeeze caramel sauce 1/2″ from the top as you turn the glass 360 degrees around. Set aside.

Garnishing The Glass

On the drink spectrum, a drink can be great or it can be awful. Not to mention, it can also fall on many levels in between. Nonetheless, if you have an extraordinary presentation of your drink, your drink will automatically gain some brownie points before someone even tries the drink itself. How many times have you seen over the top garnishes in drinks and thought, wow, that looks SO GOOD? Probably every time! And you haven’t had a sip or any taste to indicate that it is in fact good, but it makes you want to try it.

That being said, don’t skimp on the garnishing! I know it’s difficult to take the time to make a glass pretty when all you want to do is sit down and relax with your yummy drink. However, it really doesn’t take long to make a drink go from attractive to remarkable. The wow factor really shows off the taste of the drink on the outside of the glass. Show it off and post those amazing pictures on Facebook, Instagram, wherever! Don’t be shy, get the accolades you deserve.

Dressing up this martini can be done quickly and the outcome is so fun! Tilt the martini glass to the side. Next, squeeze caramel sauce 1/2″ from the top as you turn the glass 360 degrees around. Just that little bit of effort makes your martini dressed up and give it added color and an added taste – that caramel really helps mimic the bananas foster dessert! Additionally, top it off with a dash (or 2) of cinnamon or nutmeg. Yes!

Making The Martini

  • Fill cocktail shaker approximately 1/2 way with ice.
  • Measure and pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Pour drink into garnished martini glass.

Mix It Up

I’d prefer to make a martini over a dessert any day. They are super easy to make. Just add some ice to a cocktail shaker. Measure and pour the drink ingredients into the shaker. Shake vigorously. Then, pour it into your garnished glass. Very easy as far as desserts go!

You don’t have to be in the mood to drink the martini to make this. You can always make this for someone else. Just make sure they are 21 years or older! My kids are envious of my yummy martinis and, frankly, I don’t blame them. I usually make it up to them and make them a tasty ice cream shake or a scrumptious dessert such as Root Beer Float Cookies. That usually satisfies them…for the time being anyway!

Enjoy!

Bananas Foster Martini is a great choice to serve at your next holiday party. It is an impressive drink and your guests will be in awe. However, you could also mix this cocktail up on a regular weekend or weekday night and have it as your dessert for the day. Whatever way you decide to enjoy this drink, enjoy it responsibly and savor every last sip!

The BEST Pistachio Martini You Can Make At Home

Pistachio Martini. Did you even know that was a thing? I had never heard of it until a friend of mine posted a pistachio martini on Facebook one night. I didn’t even realize there was such a thing as pistachio liqueur. However, I guess I should have assumed it was a thing. Basically, there are a million different flavored vodkas as well as thousands of different liqueurs. I’m exaggerating, but when I go to Total Wine, I’m always overwhelmed with the selection there!

I LOVE pistachios. Once I found out this martini, I needed to try it! Of course, it was during the lock down of Covid-19 so I couldn’t order one of these in a restaurant, I had to take matters into my own hands and make one in my kitchen. One of the key ingredients is the pistachio liqueur, of course. The pistachio liqueur that I have tried and love is Sogno Di Sorrento Pistachio Crema. I finally broke down and bought everything to make this yummy drink. And when I finally made the pistachio martini, it was damn good!

Bartending At Home

I recently began making dessert-like martinis. Now, I can’t stop making them! It’s like my creative juices are flowing in martini form. Weird, right? But food and drinks can be considered artistic. You have to concoct a mixture of ingredients to get that perfect taste. Specifically, you need the perfect amount of each ingredient to perfect the best taste! It’s very artistic. Therefore, I consider myself a martini artist of sorts! I’m kidding. However, I do feel creative when creating new martinis, especially when they taste yummy!

The garnished martini glass with chocolate sauce and pistachios really pushes this to an amazing level! If you don’t want to go all out with the garnished glass, it’s fine, you can skip that. Just make sure you follow the rest of this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 3 oz Pistachio Liqueur
  • 1.5 oz White Chocolate Liqueur Godiva is the best!
  • Pistachios finely chopped
  • Chocolate Sauce
  • 1 dash Irish Cream optional if you prefer creamy drinks

Pistachio Martini Recipe

One of the best things about making martinis is that they are pretty easy to make. Half the battle with making a dessert-like martini is garnishing the glass. Of course, you don’t need to garnish the glass, but when making a delicious drink, it really adds to the overall effect of the martini and can change your mood! I mean, who doesn’t love a yummy drink that looks like an actual dessert? Isn’t that the point of a dessert martini??

Garnishing The Glass

  • Place chocolate syrup and chopped pistachios on 2 small, shallow plates.
  • Dip rim of martini glass first in the chocolate, then in pistachios.

Making The Martini

Once you have all the ingredients ready and you fill a cocktail shaker with some ice, you are just about done. Just measure each ingredient and pour them into the cocktail shaker. After everything is in the shaker, just shake it up and pour it into your martini glass. Then, sit back and enjoy!

  • Fill shaker 1/2 way with ice.
  • Add vodka, pistachio liqueur, irish cream, and white chocolate liqueur to shaker and shake well.
  • Pour into garnished glass.

Sip Slowly

A pistachio martini is a delicious and creamy martini that is really easy to drink. The pistachio liqueur, irish cream, and white chocolate liqueurs are really sweet which makes you feel as though you are drinking a shake rather than a potent martini. However, this entire martini is composed of alcohol so you need to sip slowly! Drink responsibly and keep your kids away from this drink. They will be curious for sure, but they cannot have this! All the more reason to put them to bed and then mix this up for yourself in peace and quiet!
